課程概述 |
This course aims to introduce students essential skills in writing types of paragraphs. This semester, the course will focus on developing students' knowledge in writing genres of definition, process, descriptive, opinion, and narrative. In addition, essay writing will be introduced as the course wraps up. At the end, students will continue to develop peer-reviewing skills and participate in one-on-one writing conference. |

課程目標 |
By the end of the semester, students will be able to (1) write genres of paragraphs; (2) review, edit, and correct their own and others' work; and (3) write appropriately on a wide range of topics.

課程要求 |
50% Written assignments: Students will need to complete five written assignments throughout the semester.
10% Class presentation: Upon completion of the five assignments toward the end of the course, students will select one of their papers and present it to the class. Further instructions to follow as the class proceeds.
10% Writing conference: In order for students to receive constructive feedback from the instructor. Students will meet with the instructor twice during an in-class writing conference.
30% Attendance and participation: Students will need to attend class sessions on-time and participate in various activities on a weekly basis. Finals grades will be lowered if failed to do so.
